PPF Installation Training

A hands-on, theory-based training focused on installing clear and colored paint protection film (PPF). The course includes demonstrations and guided practice on vehicle panels, with extra hands-on focus on colored PPF.

Day 1 · Fundamentals and Basic Techniques

• 9:00–9:30 a.m. Welcome and introduction to PPF: applications, benefits, and training goals.
• 9:30–10:15 a.m. Understanding the material: differences between clear and colored PPF, available finishes, and installation differences compared with vinyl.
• 10:15–10:30 a.m. Break.
• 10:30–11:15 a.m. Installation tools and solutions: using squeegees, spray bottles, and cutting tools. Preparing solutions based on the material and working conditions.
• 11:15 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Vehicle preparation: paint inspection, cleaning, decontamination, and preparation of edges and critical areas.
• 12:30–1:30 p.m. Lunch.
• 1:30–2:30 p.m. Clear PPF demonstration: handling, positioning, anchor points, tension control, and water evacuation.
• 2:30–3:30 p.m. Guided basic installation practice: squeegee control and application on a low-complexity surface.
• 3:30–3:45 p.m. Break.
• 3:45–5:00 p.m. Hands-on introduction to colored PPF: measuring, material usage, positioning, and installation on a simple panel. Review of common mistakes and corrections.

Day 2 · Colored PPF and Intermediate Techniques

• 9:00–9:30 a.m. Review of installations: identifying contamination, residual moisture, marks, and lifting.
• 9:30–10:30 a.m. Intermediate technique demonstration: installation sequence, material distribution, anchoring, and tension control on curved surfaces.
• 10:30–10:45 a.m. Break.
• 10:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Guided practice with colored PPF: installation on panels with curves and shape changes, managing excess material, and preventing wrinkles.
• 12:30–1:30 p.m. Lunch.
• 1:30–2:30 p.m. Cuts, edges, and corners: safe cutting techniques, finishing, edge wrapping, and guidelines for placing seams when needed.
• 2:30–3:30 p.m. Demonstration on a more complex part, such as a bumper or mirror: part analysis, tension distribution, and critical areas.
• 3:30–3:45 p.m. Break.
• 3:45–4:30 p.m. Finishing techniques and error correction: individual review, technique adjustments, and solutions to challenges encountered during installation.
• 4:30–5:00 p.m. Quality control and customer handoff: final inspection, aftercare, maintenance, usage recommendations, and closing questions.
